A.L.P. was founded on October 6, 1994, after the owner, Mr. Berchialla Pier Carlo, had thirty years of previous experience in construction and public works.
His idea was to work LANGA’S STONE in a new way, which had always been used in local renovations, for new constructions and modern processes, thus making it suitable for a wide range of uses.
The company grew over the years to become a solid national reality, effectively becoming the first producer of Natural LANGA’S STONE for its history and warehouse availability.
From the first used machinery with which Pier Carlo started the company - a simple cutting machine - the current plant now includes four splitting machines, a modern laboratory with three automatic milling machines, and a numerical control machine to create sinks, engravings, and the infinite range of customizations that customers ask us for.
The founder Berchialla Pier Carlo and his daughter Roberta, supported by his son-in-law Roberto Castellengo, oversee all stages of work: direct extraction from the owned quarry, the production line, administration, and sales. The latest arrival is his granddaughter Alice, who handles purchases, warehouse, and corporate communication.
Everyone pays particular attention to caring for the end customer, whether a private individual, a company, or a professional.
A really natural stone
We have always handled the complete production cycle, starting from the extraction of raw material in our exclusively owned quarry: Cava Alice, also located in the municipality of Cortemilia, in the heart of the Alta Langa.
This is followed by the selection and air seasoning of the stones for one year.
Cleaning and roughing with mechanical means follow, leading to splitting and cutting.
All this, without the use of explosives or chemical substances of any kind, in full respect of this extraordinary raw material.
The company's large warehouse therefore allows us to satisfy every supply need quickly.
